DCA Mission Statement

The Dance Critics Association consists of professional practitioners of dance criticism. It seeks to further the identity of dance criticism as a profession; to offer its members solidarity; and to provide the means for exchanging information and exploring fresh approaches to critical writing.

Among its priorities are national and regional conferences which provide forums for members in all parts of the country; promotional services to benefit the organization and its members; a quarterly newsletter and other publications, and the exploration of outside projects which might use DCA as a resource.
